[Shay speaks]

Dude, it's an online superhero RPG. Of course I play it! City of Heroes was, for a long time, the only graphical MMORPG I'd ever subscribed to, and it remains my favorite. Want to fight evil with me? Look for "@ShayCaron" or seek out the heroes below.

"Your greed has perverted you. Let us open your eyes."

Michael Hodges has no super powers of any kind. A team of scientists, geneticists, and mages have studied him painstakingly, and aside from above-average fitness, there's nothing unusual about him. But try to tell that to the pillars of stone that rise from the ground at his command. Or the winds and clouds that thunder when he raises a hand. Or the oddly compelling female voice that has been known to speak through his mouth. Michael claims that the Earth has chosen him to protect its creatures. He just might be telling the truth.

Character Notes

When I originally came up with Gaia's Voice, he was a Gravity/Kinetics Controller. Somewhere along the line, though -- by the time I figured out his name and background, anyway -- I found that Earth/Storm was the only setup that fit. (The Grav/Kinetic character eventually did come to life, as the Center of Gravity.) I made his origin Natural partly because I didn't have many natural heroes, but mostly because I like the concept of a guy who has no powers but can still do all these things, because the Earth is watching over him and listening to his commands. Or requests, rather. Michael is very respectful about it.
