Mog knew the question that was on everyone's mind: "How does he know that gigantic Sasquatch?" He smiled mysteriously, and vowed never to reveal that he and Umaro had simply been roommates in college. He had an image to maintain, after all.

As cliche as it was to say that he'd stolen her heart, it was true; but she could take comfort in knowing that he'd never pawn it off at any price. "You're the most precious treasure I ever unearthed," he said, and she knew he was telling the truth, thief's honor.

He'd always had sort of a chivalrous, protective streak, so it was funny to discover that he really liked being protected as well. At least, when it was her doing it. They were both strong, both capable, and he decided that this beat the fairy tales any day.

Natsuki had said apologetically, many weeks ago, that she couldn't return Shizuru's love, and the light-haired girl had sadly accepted it; which is why, when Natsuki pulled her into a fast kiss in the middle of the empty classroom, it caught both of them off-guard.

It took three seconds for Yukino to realize what she was doing and pull away, babbling a hasty apology before running.

It took four days of her best friend avoiding her for Haruka to decide that she would NOT let things go on this way.

It took five minutes of quiet conversation for Yukino to finally confess her feelings, tears rolling down her cheeks, and just a moment more for Haruka to work up the nerve to try that kiss again.

And after the kiss, it took no time at all for Haruka to say that she felt the same.

Osaka spun her staff in dizzying circles, over and over, as her oversized black mage hat tilted down over her eyes. "Ultimate Summon..." she chimed in her customary airy voice. "Namako..."

A sea cucumber materialized from nowhere, splatting into the final boss's face. -1 HP The hideous demon stared for a moment, then laughed evilly. "Ha!" it growled. "Is that all you can --"

The end of the staff struck the ground, and in that same spacey voice, Osaka completed the spell. "...Senmankai."

"-- Wait, what?"

And as the rest of the party watched in astonishment, the hail of sea cucumbers began.
